Organised Chaos is delighted to finally be able to announce its involvement with this year’s Creative England iShorts Scheme, supported by BFI Net.Work.
Vanishing Trick, directed by Robin Schmidt and produced by Michael Beddoes, is a story about family, belonging and the power of blind faith. When his grandfather is brought home to die of stomach cancer, a working class Liverpudlian boy convinces himself he can use the magic tricks the old man taught him to make the tumour vanish.
The project will be locally cast and filmed entirely on location in Liverpool this summer with assistance from the lovely folks at the Liverpool Film Office.
While Creative England are providing a portion of the funding for the short, we are seeking some additional financial support via Crowdfunder to cover the cost of preliminary location recces, casting workshops and hiring a professional magician to develop the magical elements of the script. If you’re interested in getting involved, check out the Crowdfunder campaign video below, plus perks available for financial backers here.
